Frequent Headache

Unfortunately, headaches are commonplace in our stressed filled, modern world and one of our greatest enemies are frequent headache symptoms, bringing with it discomfort, pain and the uncertainty of what is causing the problem. Properly identifying the kind of headache you have is the best way to help choose the best and correct form of treatment to help alleviate the pains of frequent headaches.

Migraine Headaches

One of the most often heard about headaches, but which is not actually very common, is the migraine headache. One of the best ways to help relieve the frequent headache pains associated with migraines is by wearing copper or magnetic bracelets, available from almost any large retail store.

Cluster Headaches

One of the more common causes of frequent headache pains are cluster headaches. Unfortunately, because their cause is unknown, a cure has been impossible to find, but that doesn't mean they can't be treated. By knowing what triggers them, you can concentrate on the triggers to treat the symptoms. Some triggers of cluster headaches are thought to be, stress, food allergies or an imbalance in the chemicals in the brain.

Tension Headaches

Tension headaches, are thought to be as a direct result of stress, and are also a leading cause of symptoms of frequent headaches. Like stress related cluster headaches, by removing the causes of that stress you can remove the headaches. If you find that isn't possible (and who can completely remove stress from their lives these days?) try to reduce the stress factor by taking short, walks, carrying out some stretching exercises at your desk, and breathing properly. Sit back and take slow, deep breaths (the chest should never rise when breathing properly. All good breath is drawn from the diaphragm, down towards the stomach).

And, finally, believe it or not, one of the most common but least recognized of all the causes of these headaches; caffeine withdrawal. There's one thing that people always forget but is important to remember. Caffeine is a drug, and like all drugs, if you suddenly remove it from a user, the body is going to go into withdrawal. If you're used to drinking a lot of coffee on a regular basis, and for whatever reason you don't drink as much coffee as your body is used to, you're going to suffer withdrawal symptoms, including frequent headaches. The short-term solution? Grab a cup of coffee and give your body the caffeine it's used to. Ultimately, a better, long-term solution is to keep your coffee down to no more than one to three cups a day. Do that, and it will be easier to keep caffeine headaches out of your life completely.

Homeopathic cures aren't for everyone. But whether you choose this option or the traditional over the counter or prescribed medicines, if your frequent headache symptoms do not subside, get expert medical advice from your doctor as soon as possible.
